Who we are looking for
For our production team, we are looking for an Assembly Department Manager.
Role objective
The Assembly Department Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising all assembly activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards, production timelines, and efficiency targets, in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage assembly department staff (activities, performance)
- Plan and monitor production activities according to timelines and priorities
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and company procedures
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with Quality, Logistics, and Maintenance departments
- Monitor production KPIs (efficiency, scrap, cycle times, OEE)
- Manage any production issues and propose improvement solutions
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations
- Train and develop team skills
- Support the introduction of new products/processes
Requirements
Education:
- Technical diploma or degree in Engineering (preferred)
Experience:
- At least 3–5 years of experience in similar roles in manufacturing environments
- Experience in managing operational teams
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of assembly processes
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Ability to analyze data and use KPIs
- Basic knowledge of IT tools (ERP, Excel)
Soft Skills:
- Leadership and team management skills
- Problem-solving
- Results-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Plus:
- Experience in automated environments
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED)
- Technical English
Work location and hours
The company is located at Via Mario Pagano 59, Trezzano sul Naviglio.
Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a lunch break, or from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
